In recent days you may have come across Elon Musk twitting about nuking Mars, And you just ignored it as yet another tweet. Nuking Mars is a serious option under consideration for terraforming Mars. Let us dive into yet another fucked up idea.

The atmosphere of Mars is also roughly 100 times thinner than Earth's, but it is still thick enough to support weather, clouds, and winds. The temperature on Mars varies from minus 120 C near poles to 20 C near the equator on middays. Terraforming Mars has challenges from increasing to surface temperature to thickening of the atmosphere. The best possible alternative right now is to melt the polar ice caps, which would result in the formation of a sea about 5-11 m deep.

This newly formed water would lead to the release of water vapour into the gas. Melting these polar caps isn't easy! It would take decades for increasing the temperature on Mars in the same way we are growing Earth's temperature by pollution. So, the best possible solution lets Nuke it. Can't be easier than this, right?

No, It isn't easy. Risks involved in this bombing are high as fuck. Imagine if the Falcon Heavy carrying this bomb explodes in Earth's atmosphere. We won't require a world war to fuck us up. Yes, we can think of assembling the weapon up in the space itself.
